CHAIR’S MESSAGE Eight years ago it was an idea; seven years ago it was a pilot project and today, the Hamilton Music Collective’s An Instrument for Every Child, is a successful and vital community service that continues to grow and prosper with each passing year. The Hamilton Music Collective is headquartered at The Gasworks, 141 Park Street North, in the near north end of Hamilton. It is a warm and inviting “century” building, owned by the John & Ellie Voortman Foundation. It provides HMC with an ideal facility and location from which to work with the various elementary schools and community centres in which we run our programs. In addition, it is busily utilized for both in-house programming and the very popular Jazz at the Gasworks fundraising music performances, which take place September through April.
