NEW AIFEC 2015 Annual Report

CHAIR’S MESSAGE 2015 was an extremely positive year for the Hamilton Music Collective, as is fully summarized in the body of this report. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to pass on sincere thanks and appreciation to Astrid Hepner, the founder and CEO of HMC and all those who offered their combined dedication and hard work in moving the organization to yet another plateau. Our major initiative, “An Instrument for Every Child” continues to grow, prosper and do outstanding work in the community. We would not have been able to do this were it not for the many private individuals, businesses and institutional organizations who committed substantial funding, which has enabled us to expand both the extent and scope of this program. As well, to the many “donors in kind,” those businesses and individuals who provide various types of support and services, which carries price tags which we never see, we offer our sincere thanks! In this space in the last report, it was noted that “everybody associated with taking us forward is passionately committed to the continual task of assuring that the Hamilton Music Collective will continue to gather and gain momentum as we endeavor to create a strong organization that is positioned to provide nothing but positive and worthwhile results.” Knowing of much of the planning that is presently being formulated, we can be assured that this statement is as applicable moving forward through 2016 as it was last year at this time! Sincerely, The Hamilton Music Collective is a nonprofit organization dedicated to positive youth development through year-round music instruction and ensemble participation in Hamilton’s inner-city schools and community centres. 141 Park Street North, Hamilton, ON L8R 2N5 (905) 517-1664 www.aninstrumentforeverychild.ca www.hamiltonmusiccollective.org An Instrument For Every Child (AIFEC) provides Hamilton’s inner-city children & youth with a high quality music education and allows them to explore their creative potential.
