As he has been with so many fledgling jazz organists\, Jimmy Smith played a significant role in attracting Monaco to jazz and retaining his interest in the music. Monaco was 12 years old when he first heard Smith and\, as a 16th birthday present\, got a phone call from the organ giant. The culmination of this association came when Smith invited the young performer to join him at Smith’s club. Now celebrating 50 years as a professional touring leader\, recording artist and teacher\, Tony always delivers memorable performances and experiences for audiences worldwide! Exciting Hammond Organ music played by experience and passion! He’s looking forward to seeing you in the Spring! \nVisit B3Monaco.com for more information and see his exciting performances on his YouTube Channel. \nAbout Jazz at the Gasworks \nHamilton Music Collective Presents: Jazz at the Gasworks showcases top Canadian and international musicians in jazz\, blues\, and improvised music.
