Celebrating 10 years of concerts in support of AIFEC! Our tenth anniversary brings back fan favourites Mandy Lagan and Darcy Hepner, and welcomes pianist Harold Danko and vocalist John Neudorf to the series!

Pianist Harold Danko, known for brushing shoulders with Chet Baker and Thad Jones, is joined by Neil Swainson and Terry Clarke on October 3. On the heels of his brand new album, John Neudorf delivers an explosive fusion of scatting, warm phrasing, and unmistakable passion for his craft, with dynamic original tunes and classics from The Beatles and Ray Charles. John is joined by crowd favourites Nancy Walker, Rob McBride, Joel Haynes, and Chris Gale on October 24. Following an enchanting concert in 2022, Mandy Lagan returns on November 7 with her seven-piece band ORIGINS to perform the songbooks of Joni Mitchell and Paul Simon. The always-entertaining Darcy Hepner closes out the fall series with a new quintet, bringing his unique blend of RnB and jazz.

Back for the third year, Eclectic Local is a free outdoor concert series in the heart of downtown Hamilton! We are thrilled to again co-present this series with the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. Crowd favourites Who It Is! open the series on July 6 with their unique soul-funk sound, perfect for a sunny Saturday afternoon. HPO violinist Suhashini Arulanandam and cellist Sybil Shanahan are Tadioli Duo, taking us on a journey through Western Classical, Argentine Tango and music with South Asian influences. Up and coming jazz-funk-fusion band Junestone, led by Hamilton bassist and vocalist Olivia Brown performs on August 3. Finally, a very special performance by the HPO String Quartet with renowned tenor vocalist Bud Roach singing jazz classics of the Great American Songbook, arranged by HPO cellist Laura Jones. Grab a cold drink from the beer garden and join us for this family-friendly series on Saturdays at 5:00pm in our outdoor space at 141 Park Street North, just steps from James Street North.

July 6 – Who It Is! – Inspired by the soulful sounds of Les McCann and Eddie Harris and the funky grooves of the ‘60’s. Featuring Darcy Hepner, Paul Intson, Joel Haynes, and Jesse O’Brien.

July 20 – Tadioli Duo – Join HPO violinist Suhashini Arulanandam and cellist Sybil Shanahan on a journey of world music, featuring a rich variety of masterworks from the Western Classical repertoire, Argentine Tango and music with South Asian influences.

August 3 – Junestone – The musical outpouring of Hamilton alt-funk fusion bassist and jazz-pop vocalist Olivia Brown. Featuring Ian Aisling, Borys Franiczek and Justin McHugh.

August 24 – HPO String Quartet featuring Bud Roach – Tenor vocalist Bud Roach and the HPO strings showcase beloved selections from the Great American Songbook, featuring iconic jazz works and sentimental tunes by Cole Porter and Irving Berlin. All arrangements by HPO cellist, Laura Jones.

Hamilton Music Collective Presents: The next round of crowd pleasing concerts at our downtown jazz lounge in support of An Instrument For Every Child. Upright bassist Dave Young, longtime bass player for Oscar Peterson and a Member of The Order of Canada, kicks off the series with his quintet on February 1st. Pat LaBarbera and friends will celebrate the quintessential bossa nova jazz record by Stan Getz and João Gilberto, and from the Buffalo jazz scene, drummer Dan Hull returns with the Tim Clarke Quintet to perform the music of the legendary American pianist Horace Silver. Closing the series on April 25 will be Hamilton’s own JUNO-winning vocalist Diana Panton with Reg Schwager and Don Thompson.
