From Song Idea to Produced Track (March Break Tech Week)

Join producer Matt King as he shows how to record a high quality track using a microphone, midi instruments and your own computer! Learn how to record and layer vocals, virtual instruments and effects to turn your song idea into a finished track.
Location: The HMC Centre for Performance and Education at The Gasworks (141 Park Street North, downtown Hamilton)
Cost: $15 per workshop

Looking for something to do over March Break? Enter HMC’s Soundhaus Studios and learn from local music makers. Learn the basics of DJing, and the top tools to make music at home. Co-write a song or make a beat from scratch with professional songwriters and producers, and get a taste of the upcoming Musical Futures Production Program from HMC.
Workshops are 60-90 minutes in length and for ages 8 – 18. No experience necessary!
