Musical Futures Production Program is an innovative collection of music tech classes specially designed for youth. Building on the legacy of HMC’s after school programming, tech-forward classes such as Beats By U! and Intro to DJing introduce the fun of writing, producing and remixing music to youth in an accessible and fun environment.

Hands-On Fun, Powered By Technology

  • Our hands-on approach puts gear and instruments in students’ hands from day one. 
  • Students have access to their own Mac computers or iPads and headphones. 
  • Plus, we always offer students a variety of keyboards and controllers to express music the way they feel most comfortable.

Enter The Studio

  • Soundhaus Studios is our professional recording studio and production lab for all ages.
  • It’s designed for both individual and collaborative work, and loaded with fun, tactile gear like Pocket Operator Synths and Launchpads.
  • Industry-standard recording hardware including preamps, compressors and microphones are available when students are ready to level up.
  • Handled by M2 Mac Studio, Dynaudio Lyd 48 monitors and 18S subwoofer, and SSL Control Surfaces.

High Impact

  • Students finish each semester with products they can be proud of, like a custom DJ mix, a short film score, or an original song.
  • Our spring showcase and community events allow youth to share their art with supportive audiences.
